Hello all, I recently purchased, on Ebay, a Powerfile R200-ROM. The hope, at the time of purchase, was that I could use it to batch rip my CD collection (over 2000 CDs) using the dBPowerAmp Batch Rip software.
Free Online Library: PowerFile Adds AppleScript Support To The PowerFile C200 CD/DVD Jukebox; MediaFinder 1.3 Upgrade Eases Digital Asset Management.
However I have run into some serious difficulties due to the fact that the Software CD for the Powerfile was destroyed during shipping (Powerfile itslef also suffered some minor damage but I was able to fix that). I have been unable to find the Powerfile software anywhere for download and was hoping someone here might be able to help me out. I could also use some info on how to accomplish what I am trying to do if anyone has done it or just knows. Thanks in advance for your help, Steve.

I will burn a copy for you if it is the same as for the R200 you have. In the meantime have you found good software to do that with the Powerfile? Here's a few links to what I've found so far: I think we should keep in touch.
What do you say? Best regards, Nemo (Canada) Sure, I think we will probably be able to help each other out some.
I no longer need the software though as I have managed to find a copy of the Powerfile software (Proview). The ironic thing here is that I learned (from here and other sources) more about these devices and it turns out I really have no need for this software. I feel like I now have a fairly good understanding of how these devices can be used (for ripping purposes anyway) so if you have any specific questions feel free to drop me a line. I will send a PM with my email because I do not get to check this forum as often as I would like. I know it's a long shot, since the post is a bit old but I was wondering if there is a way that you'd share the PowerFIle's ProView software - since it's no longer supported by them? I purchased 2 PowerFiles C200 but can't find good software to 'communicate' with them on windows XP 64 bit. I tried several programs on the forum but they are glitchy and not working well; PowerExplorer is cluncky, imgBurn mount, rotates but doesn't read the disc the other programs, developed by users in this forum, aren't working.
In a way, this is my last resort and I'd appreciate any input/help, from anyone. Okay, I managed to write a simple batch file to handle this using the mm.exe (MoveMedia) command that comes with the drivers (which, surprisingly, are easy to find).
REM First, we need to know what mm.exe wants REM mm uses 1-4 to refer to parts of the changer REM 1 = Mail Slot REM 2 = Drive 1 REM 3 = Drive 2 REM 4 = Slot 1 (all the way to 203 = Slot 200) REM since my drives are mapped to E and F SET Drive_E=2 SET Drive_F=3 SET /A Slot=%1 + 3 if '%1' == ' SET Slot=4 SET /A LastSlot=%2 + 3 if '%2' == ' SET LastSlot=203 SET DriveLetter=%3 if '%3' == ' SET DriveLetter='E' SET MyDrive=%Drive_E% if '%3' == 'F' SET MyDrive=%Drive_F%:LOOP 'c: windows system32 drivers PowerFile 5.4 mm.exe'%Slot%%MyDrive% REM Place the command line of what you want to do here. REM in my case, I just want to copy the files, since these are data files xcopy /e /y%DriveLetter%: m: REM but this could be some ripping software that has a command line interface 'c: windows system32 drivers PowerFile 5.4 mm.exe'%MyDrive%%Slot% SET /A Slot=%Slot% + 1 if NOT '%Slot%' == '%LastSlot%' GOTO LOOP EXIT. Everything else I've found seemed to be for the Sony xl1b series and doesn't work with the PowerFile. Not sure if there are free drivers for this particular machine, but I used dbPoweramp's Batch Ripper with a different machine to rip 8,000 - 9,000 CD's for a friend and it worked great. I have recently purchased a PowerFile R200, but did not get the ProView software with it.
I have been looking for a copy for a long time and hopefully landed in the right place? Crack Topsolid 2011 Gratuities more. I noticed in your post that you had a copy of the above mentioned software and was kind enough to offer it to a Forum Member.
I know it was a long time ago, but, do you still have the software?, I am quite willing to pay for the software and any postal cost incurred. If you do not have the above mentioned software at hand, I would be grateful for any leads or links that might help in obtaining the software. Kind regards James Hughes.
